Now, hold up, brother — Toni Morrison did not blast Alice Walker in the Massachusetts Review: The screenshots

By Nordette Adams

The screenshots below are presented to verify what I said in my post regarding prominent writer and cultural critic Ishmael Reed's assertion about Toni Morrison. In an article at Counter Punch, he references a 1995 Massachusetts Review interview with Morrison and says the Nobel laureate "blasted" fellow prize-winning author Alice Walker. The copy in screenshots of the interview indicate, Morrison does the opposite and affirms that she does not believe Walker caters to white women. At the opening of this excerpt, the Stanley Crouch review Brown refers to is Crouch's review of Morrison's novel Song of Solomon.
